Home Sweet Home

It has been so long since I last posted, and much has happened! Talmage and I flew to Louisiana for two weeks and we had a wonderful time. The night before we left, my sweet boy found his feet for the first time!

As far as traveling the next day, I am thankful for those who helped me along the way. Two old ladies named Theresa and Trudy, sisters, sat by me on our first flight and they must have been angels sent from heaven. Turns out we had so much in common, and they loved Talmage so much that they were just like his two grandma's. They held him and carried his stuff for me, and in between flights we all stuck with each other and had lunch. Since we were all continuing on to Dallas, we sat with each other again on the next flight. We cried and laughed together, and I truly believe they were the answer to my prayers. What a blessing it is to have kinship with sisters in the gospel everywhere.
It was a long day. 4 1/2 hr bus ride, 5 1/2 hrs of flight time, 3 hrs. drive home. Talmage was calm and happy the entire day- which is rare- but I welcomed it with open arms. And then...HOME SWEET HOME!

We got in really late, and I had to calm Talmage down for bed so he had peaches at midnight followed by a bath. Funny how a mom will take pictures of her child even if it is 1 a.m....

For the next two weeks we had so much fun with Mimi, Papaw, and Dana. Even the dogs had fun, especially Mr. Nanny here...

Roux and Talmage were really intrigued with each other. It was hilarious to watch. Stella, on the other hand, was little more apprehensive. I think she was confused as to what exactly he was....

And here we are at the Boardwalk...I spent way too many hours of my teenage life here.

One of the highlights was getting to go on a ride with my dad :)

Here are just a few more of my favorite moments.

As great as it was, nothing beats the feeling of coming back to MY home, to see my husband and sleep in my bed. I had a great visit in LA but I realized, strangely, that Idaho is my temporary home right now. Everything here is familiar. I can trim my bushes and sit in baby's nursery here. I am glad to be home.
